Samhain is the turning point in the year, when we must look ahead, and prepare for the darkness of winter. In all traditions, it is time to remember and honour the ancestors. |
 |
With the final cobs of corn now harvested, there is nothing left to hold us in the summer pasture land. We can make the journey now towards the higher ground, where we will be secure throughout the winter months. |
| This leaving behind of the dreams and plans of the summer, and returning to the introspection of winter carries the bitter-sweet feelings of loss, and remembering. |
| When we return to ourselves, we return to the source, and this includes our ancestral yearnings, dreams and visions. |
Look at the circle of ancestors who have given you the gift of life. What were their unfulfilled dreams and hopes for you? Give gratitude and appreciation for what they have given you of themselves. |
Your woundedness is the map for your transformation. Ultimately, if you can transform this ancestral wound, you will have fulfilled your purpose, to become your self. |
Everything must change - Nothing Persists.
